This is the reason I started learning web development. My portfolio website. I was discontent with my peers' choice to use online website builders to create their portfolio. I wanted my portfolio to be an expression of who I am. Cats, memes, and cringey jokes. I never managed to get it there but I have plans. Plans indeed.
So in the later part of undergrad life, I decided to learn web development, because I didn't already have enough on my plate apparently. I started learning react and one of the first things I made is a web app that detects faces in any given image URL. Unfortunately, the backend for this web app is no longer functional so all I could get was this sign in page. But I will rework this project to get it back to working condition using everything I have learned since then... eventually... probably... maybe.
